The former summarises your research in a concise format, whereas the latter sets the stage for it.

This part examines existing research and literature related to your research.

It describes how the research was carried out; model used, data collection instruments, among others.

Findings

Interpretation of the results, relating them to the research objectives and the lit review.

This section shows the results from your research without interpretation.

This section summarizes the main findings and they significance. The implications for you as a teacher.

  • Check for mistakes and correct everything .
  • Have someone else check your work.
  • Think and decide.
  • Brainstorm.
  • Do your research in the current literature.
  • Evaluate your sources. Make an outline.
  • Elaborate in detail the ideas from the outline.
  • Read and write again.
  • Improve what you currently have.
  • Make sure it is cohesive and coherent.

Polish your ideas

  • Read what you have written. Is it what you were aiming at?
  • Write what needs to be added.
  • Read it again.
  • Write again until you have everything you can say about the topic.
  • Find key points in your sources.
  • Summarise and paraphrase.
  • Avoid plagiarism.
  • If possible, have someone else read your draft to give you his/her/their perspective and feedback.
  • With the outline in mind, now it is time to ellaborate the ideas.
