POSSESSIVE NOUNS apóstrofe
#2. uso en forma plural Para las ocasiones en las que más de una persona es el sujeto, añade el apóstrofe detrás de la “s”: The Smiths’ → The Smiths’ yard is amazing. It is huge! The Smiths are a family. They own a big yard. The cats’ → What a mess! The cats’ food is everywhere. There is more than one cat. The cats made a mess.
#1. uso en forma singular Para que un sustantivo se convierta en posesivo, añade ’s al final: Emma’s → That is Emma’s notebook. We should bring it to her. Emma owns the notebook. The cat’s → Be careful! The cat’s toys are on the floor. The toys belong to the cat.
