Welcome Back,
I want to welcome the Class of 2027 and the new members of the Class of 2026 to the Old Colony family. I also want to welcome our new staff members. We have added some very exciting teachers, para-professionals and coaches. They will make a huge impact on our school and culture.
As we enter the 2023-2024 school year, I want to present to you some thoughts that may be of some use as we navigate this school year. If you are a student, parent or staff member I hope you approach life and work with passion. I believe our staff bring a high degree of passion to their work every day. Don’t be afraid to ask for help along the way. No one achieves their goals alone. Strive for excellence and seek help from those you trust.
Four years ago I welcomed the Class of 2024 with the message of “Leave A Legacy”. For the Class of 2027, I want to challenge them with the same message of leaving Old Colony after four years with a legacy of kindness, compassion and hard work. Graduation will creep up faster than you think for this class.
I am excited to start my sixth year as Principal of Old Colony. We can’t do it alone either. Please get involved as a parent, student or community member. There are so many awesome opportunities available to add to your legacy. I look forward to a great school year. If you have any concerns about the school, your student or just need information, please employ the “30 Second Rule”. Let us know within 30 seconds if there is an issue.
Remember to Laugh, Smile and Have Fun. It’s Contagious.
Be Well,
Mr. Parker
