Course Admin

Anyone with this badge is an admin in the course. The teacher will be an admin. Sometimes other staff may be an admin if they are subbing or assisting that teacher. Sometimes your supervisor could be an admin in your courses.

Member Gear

The gear next to a member's name opens up to a dropdown with 4 tools. You will only use 2 of these regularly; Send message and Preview Course.

• Send message - will open up a message window so you can individually send a Schoology message to that student.
• Preview Course - will open the course from that student's perspective so you can see what they see.
• Change Password eiusmod - we do not change student passwords.
• Unenroll - we do not unenroll students.

Grading Groups

You can use this feature to organize students into groups. This can be useful if you want to assign some students support material and not have other students view it at all. It can also make grading larger classes a bit easier at times.

Inactive Members

Inactive members are those who have been dropped from your course for any reason. When the quarter ends and all student grades are posted, the students end up in the inactive tab. This can be useful to know if you are ever looking for previous student work for any reason.

Add Members

You can add members to your Sandbox course, but never add students to any course. Students are enrolled through PowerSchool by counselors only and will be automatically enrolled in Schoology. The only time you might enroll a student is if your supervisor tells you to.
