In Germany Krampusläufe is a traditional parade when locals dress up as Krampus (a horned half-goat, half demon folklore figure) to dance around the streets.

Meat with potatoes and veggies.

They do this to celebrate Krampusnacht. Krampusnacht is the night before December 6th. In folklore, Krampus will come out and drag naughty children down to the underworld.

He had a vision that led him to believe the solar system was created by two stars crashing into each other, and water from the star condensated on debris from the crash, and made giant blocks of ice in space, which then became planets.

When trying to squeeze past people in the same row of your seat in the theatre or cinema, facing people when passing, is common etiquette in Germany. If you do face your backside to people while trying to get past, you are more prone to offend someone.
