Classroom expectations

• Enter quietly, take note of the board
• Go directly to your seat, unless otherwise instructed
• Complete Warm-up (it will normally be timed)
• Come prepared
• Raise your hand

Classroom Movement

• 1 finger (sharpen pencil)
• 2 fingers (Need a Tissue)
• 3 Fingers (Throw away trash)
• 4 Fingers (Restroom)-use Sign In/Out sheet
• 5 Fingers (all OTHER questions)
• "T" Timeout Signal-Return the signal to teacher and get quiet
• We will discuss other communications when we create our Social Contract.
• Turn in assignments to designated areas

Hallway expectation

• "Stay to the RIGHT, walk with PURPOSE, and make WIDE LEFT TURNS."
• Quiet voices & walking feet when transitioning.
• No running or stomping up/down the stairs

• We will travel to and from Lunch/Recess in a straight line, with our voices off.
• Follow ALL cafeteria procedures

Skyward is the official grade reporting system

Canvas & your digital textbook are utilized for ALL electronic assignments. If you are absent YOU are responsible for checking Canvas and the absent folder for what you may have missed. If you have any questions AFTER you have checked both Canvas and the absent folder, you may ask me.

Dress Code

What Can I Wear?

• Outerwear- Coats, jackets or sweatshirts with attached hoodies cannont be worn up on the head in the building
• NO hats or head coverings
• *religious head covering is acceptable
• Footwear- NO house shoes or shoes with wheels

Is this drippy?

• Tops- Must cover majority of the top of the shoulder area and NO large armpit holes.
• ALL shirts must extend to the waist line
• NO sheer or see-through material
• Bottoms- Must be worn at waistline (no sagging)
• NO holes or skin showing above mid thigh
• No pajama bottoms
• Tights, leggings, and yoga style pants MUST be completely covered by a "top"

Cellphone Policy

Students using a personal electronic communications device during the instructional day without the explicit permission of an authorized district employee will result in confiscation of the phone and adherence to the graaduated list of authorized consequences. Cellphones are to be turned off and put in lockers. Please see MISD website for the complete Personal Electronic Communications Guidelines.

• 1st Offense- Phone is confiscated & parents is notified by the AP. Office referral in Skyward.
• 2nd Offense- Phone is confiscated & parent notifyied by the AP. Fee of $15. Office referrral
• 3rd Offense- Phone is confiscated & parent notifyied by the AP. Fee of $15. Student assigned detention. Office referral in Skyawrd
• 4th Offense- Phone is confiscated & parent is notifyied by the AP. Fee of $15. Student assigned ISS. Office referral in Skyward.
• 5th Offense- Phone is confiscated & parent is notifyied by the AP. Fee of $15. Student assigned 2 days of ISS. Office referral in Skyward.
