Intagram is an app where people mainly post photos of themselves or their lives. It´s a way for people to share their lifestyle, and glimpses of their life. You can share stories, posts and reels, and gain followers iver time.

TikTok is social media platform which allows billions of people to watch other user´s shorts videos and interact with them (like, comment, follow and share) At some point, once you´ve gain a lot of followers, you can even make a living out of it.

Pros and cons

Instagram is an accesible way of storytelling, anyone can post a photo and share their story. It doesn´t have to be perfect because it´s just a peek of your life and yourself.Something that can be conisider and advantage or not, is that Instagram stories are an image or a short video which could have a different interpretations for everyone who watches it.

A con about this way of storytielling is that is harder to give context. When you post and Instagram story is only an image, you don´t have a dialogue, you have to explain everything through a photo and that can be challenging.

Pros & Cons

Reddit can be an amazing via to share stories and even vent, depending on the forum of your interest, still every social media platform has its cons on its use and impact on society.

As mentioned, Reddit can be a really fun place for people telling their stories and experiences based on their lifestyle in the different forums Reddit offers.

Still, this can also be a con taking in mind that people can get low self- steam thanks to hyperreality.

Pros and cons

Tiktok is a very visual app. When telling a story, this app is useful by providing visual aid. Also, people can interact with your story, this way you see what people think about your video and can improve your skills. Additionally, this app also allows you to communicate orally. A very negative side of this app, is that it´s addictive. Once you enter this app, hours can paas by without you noticing. Also, just the same way people can comment on your video and help you, people can say really mean stuff which might not really help you improve your storytelling skills.
