Role of the teacher

I try as hard as I can to be a transformative teacher: one that contextualizes the teaching lesson around my students' wants and needs

through activities that require them to solve problems and raise questions. I adapt the activities and relate them to their realities.

Types of

knowledge

that I've gained

knowledge as belief

gAMES, VIDEOS AND kinesthetic activities work best with kids

a priori knowledge

kids don't like to speak in l2 because they're afraid of mistakes

empirical knowledge

some of them like to work alone, others in groups. The ones with special needs

don't like listening activities or activities than tend to be quite chaotic (competion games)

Exploratory action research in my everyday teaching

Collaborative and cyclical approach

i talk to the grade teacher in order to have a clearer picture of a student's performance.

We share ideas and take part in one another's lesson planning

The changes I make...

Empowering participants

are done to make students feel confident

Role of the researcher: create a supportive and safe environment for participants to share their experiences and knowledge.

the Director of the Orchestra

My students play different instruments. There's time for individual practice, sectional practice and for the whole group. Each of them contributes to a meaningful performance and earns the applause of the audience. I help them to make music, but I don't make it myself.
