All living beings carry out three vital functions: Nutrition, interaction and reproduction.

1. What are living beings made up of?

  • Living beings are made up of cells.
  • Cells are the basic units of life.
  • Cells are so tiny that we can only see them through a microscope.

2. WHAT ARE THE LEVELS OF ORGANIZATION?

Cells carry out specialized functions. They work together at different levels, called levels of organization.

NUTRITION

This function involves four systems:
  • Digestive system
  • Respiratory system
  • Circulatory system
  • Excretory system

REPRODUCTION

PREGNANCY

Our reproductive system makes it possible for us to have babies. Men and women have different reproductive systems. These two systems need to work together.
