Past Continuous

We generally use the past continuous to talk about actions and states in progress around a particular time in the past.It can emphasise that the action continued for a period of time in the past. Ex: Bart was reading a magazine

Past Continuous

was/were Ving

I was drinking soda

Vicente was drinking soda

We were drinking soda

EXAMPLES

-I was watching football match last night. -My siblings were playing soccer in the park. -They were dancing at the party all night. -Yesterday, at this time, I was traveling. -Silvana was sleeping on the couch.
