PASSIVE:

  • "A Hard Day's Night" was written by the Beatles.
ACTIVE:
  • The Beatles wrote "A Hard Day's Night".

PASSIVE:

  • This house was built by my father.
ACTIVE:
  • My father built this house.

AFFIRMATIVE:

  • The house was built in 1899.
Subject + verb to be + verb in past participle + complement

NEGATIVE:
