ICT/DIGITAL LITERACY
More information about ICT Literacy
ICT literacy refers to a set of user skills that enable active participation in a society where services and cultural offerings are computer-supported and distributed on the internet. This concept can be developed in a lot of educational systems where the main goal is to achieve skills that the student could use in the future in order to become a better professional, regardless of the career path that he/she chooses, because nowadays it's very weird to not see a professional environment where the central axis is the digital or technological world.

THE ORIGIN OF ICT
The term "information technology" in its modern sense first appeared in a 1958 article published in the Harvard Business Review. This phrase has been used by academic researchers since the 1980s. It became famous in 1997 when Dennis Stevenson (Former chairman of HBOS) used it in a report to the UK government.
