Quizizz is like Kahoot or other Formative Assessments. Students can play as a class or on their own pace. It also grades the quizzes automatically!
Get started
Go to quizizz.com and create an account with Microsoft. In Quizizz teachers an create a quiz from scratch or mix and match from teacher created questions.

Explore library
Classic
Here you can explore Quizizz already created. Once you find one that you like you can immediately "Start a Live Quiz". Click each option on the right to explore the different modes!

Assign Independent Practice
My Library
- Where the Quizizz and Lessons you make are stored
- You can also create collections which are basically folders. This way you can organize your Quizizz and when you find a Quiz you like, you can save it to these collections
- Can browse by Previously used, Liked by me, Shared with me, etc!
Lessons - AKA "The Good Stuff"
- You can create "Lessons" in Quizizz which are basically slides. You can include questions in your lesson to provide for checks for understanding.
- Types of questions:
- MC, Fill in the Blank, Reorder, Match, Drag and Drop, Drop down, Math Response, Labeling, Graphing, and more!

To save time, you can find a quiz you like in Explore. Copy and Edit the quiz Choose "Create new Question" and under Other choose "Slide" This will convert your quiz to a Lesson!

Your "Slides" is your content and the quiz parts is your "check for understanding"! Once you are done with the lesson you can play as a Live Lesson or Assign as Independent Practice

Deadline = "Due Date"The Quizizz closes AT THAT DEADLINE!!!!Can only go 2 weeks out from the date of assigning, but can come back and extend that due date later if you need. You can turn off the timer and turn on Mastery mode to allow students to redo the quiz until they get a certain score! Assign to Teams or use a link and code!
With "Classic" mode, students can answer at their own pace but must start the quiz before the quiz is over. Students can join at different times.
**The teacher could start the quiz, have directions to join it, and students can join throughout a class period (just make sure there is no timer) What are the advantages and disadvantages of this?
