6 Steps for Writing Research Paper

Step 1: Understand the assignment and set schedule

Step 2: Finding a topic and question

-- Is the topic appropiate?- Narro the focus of paper. - Choose an interesting topic for everyone. - Choose a a question that you want to answer - the ansewr will become thesis statement.

- Lengtht of paper.- Type of citation - Number and types or sources allowed -Due dates - Other formatinng details - set schedules

Step 3:Begin Research

- Use a variety of sources- Have enought time to reserarch _ Save all the information obtained - Infomation in your own words - Make notes of possible conclusions - Look for specig details of the research topic

Step 4: Construct and outline

Step 5: Write a draft

-Introduction- Main heading, paragraph 1 *supporting ideas 1-2-3 Main heading paragraph 2 *supporting ideas 1-2-3- -Maind heading paragarph 3 *supporting ideas1-2-3 -Conclusion

- Write with your own words- Cite sources - Keep information organized - Proofread draft and let others read it.

Step 6: Write a Final Draft

- Cover page with: title and autor's name- Final draft, revised, with nessessary format - Cited page list
