INSTRUCTIONS
This worksheet is a strategy used to study the different topics for the final exam with a formative assessment. Do not forget other materials you can practice with. Take into account:1. The student may use his or her textbook, course notes, or Supporting material in Campus.
2. This worksheet will be developed in the notebook.
PART I
Reproduction in Microorganisms
Bacteria and Protist
1/7
Inquiry competence
1. How can Bacteria reproduce?Complete the diagram with the correct information
Inquiry competence
2/7
2. Amoeba and Plasmodium are PROTOZOA, single celled organisms, with different mechanisms of reproduction. Explain how these organism reproduce.
PART II
Reproduction in Plants and Fungi
Asexual and Sexual Reproduction
Explanation of Phenomena competence
3-4/7
3. If an apple tree produces 10 kg. of fruit a day... What is the Reproductive mechanism that allow this? Explain the process, if it is Asexual (Vegetative propagation, budding, cutting...) or Sexual (self pollination/ Cross pollination)
4. Many plants can reproduce on their own by dropping seeds or through suckering, for example. You can also propagate plants an easy way by taking root or stem cuttings. Explain the process, if it is Asexual (Vegetative propagation, budding, cutting...) or Sexual (polination)
5/7
Comprehensive use of scientific knowledge competence
The majority of fungi are capable of both asexual and sexual reproduction. By budding, yeast multiplies asexually, and other fungi create spores to reproduce asexually. When two parents' spores combine to produce a zygospore, sexual reproduction occurs.
5. Describe the steps of reproduction ilustrated in this Yeast (Single-celled fungi):A. _____________________ B. _____________________ C. _____________________ D. _____________________

6. The black bread mold (Multicelled fungi) reproduces asexually as well as sexually. Describes each step of reproduction in the picture: 1. ____________________________ 2. ____________________________ 3. ____________________________ 4. ____________________________ 5. ____________________________

PART III
ANIMAL REPRODUCTION
Asexual and Sexual reproduction
Explanation of phenomena competence
7/7
The formation of new animal individuals, which may occur by asexual or sexual means. All animals must reproduce asexually or sexually to create new individuals of their species. How do you think these animals reproduce? Complete the chart with the specific information:
