TEKS that students must know and be able to do by the end of each school year in order to be prepared to enter the next grade level.

What are focus standards, and why do they vary by week?

TEKS that are a major focus for the week, and although they didn't make the cut to be essential standards, they are explicitly taught within that timeframe.

They truly clarify the TEKS! They also provide reteach strategies, STAAR stems, and more!

They show teachers when and how often essential standards are taught throughout the year.

It really impresses my principal when mention them in PLC meetings.
