My goals when I had first started - 1. Assitsting with Documentations 2. Enhancing Construction Knowledge 3. Gaining Networking Skills

2021 University -

At university started Law with Politics my main focus was a career in Law

2023 - 10KBI

Fast forward to 2023- applied to an internship through 100KBI and get Mace

Application process

Went on for a few months

Acceptance

Got accepted and had the first pre-joiners meeting

First day

Met the team and the projects i'd be working on which were:- Bromfords School - Harlow SEN Temps and Perms

I'm 8 weeks in

- Sub-Consultancy agreements - Handover Checklist

- Setting Up Sharepoint for the whole team to use- Initiated a switch between R Drive to Sharepoint

- I had to use excel- Survey Matrix

Training

Meetings

- Time cards- Note taking skills having to come back to notes after meetings

- SCA- Excel - Trianing required for newcomers

Lessons Learnt

What I did:- Contributed to meetings where I can - Created a doc.x about terms/ abbreviations - Assisted with Projects

Challenges: - Learning about construction on a corporate Level hence to the document about the terms and abbreviations - Troubles with applications I haven't used before - Collaberating with other interns when we had the same troubles

Highlights- Meeting everyone a Mace - Site visits - Challenging myself moving from retail vs corporate

The Future- Grad scheme for the next 2 years- With the entrance skills to grow at MACE- Construction law?- Continue and Learn and develop from LL
