The weather describes all the atmospheric conditions in a specific place and time. Climate is the weather in a place over a long period. 30 years

Weather´s elements

There are 4 main elements:

• The temperature says how hot or cold it is. We use a thermometer to measure it.
• Humidity is the amount of water vapour in the air. We use the hygrometer to measure it.

• The wind is moving air. We use the anemometer and wind vane to measure it.
• The Precipitation is water that falls to the ground. We use a rain gauge to measure it.

What is the climate?.

Climate is the weather in a place over a long period. 30 years There are 3 main climate zones: -Cold climate has very low temperatures all year. These are in the North and South pole. -Temperate or warm climates have cold winters and warm summers. You can notice the 4 seasons of the year. These can be continental, oceanic and mediterranean landscapes. - Hot climates are warm all year. These can be deserts, equatorial or a tropical landscape.

Spain Climate.

The Atlantic or oceanic climate. The temperature is warm in summer and mild in winter. There is a lot of precipitation all year. The sub-tropical climate is the Canarias Islands. The temperature is mild all the year. Precipitations are high in the north and low in the south. Mountain climate. The temperature is cool in summer and very low in winter. There is a lot of precipitation all year and it snows in winter. Mediterranean climate. Temperatures can be high and it does not rain very often.
