Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is a popular short story published in 1964. It was written by British author Roald Dahl. The story is located inside the chocolate factory of eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka.

THE AUTHOR

Roald Dahl was a British author of children's short stories. He was born in 1916 in Cardiff, Wales. His parents were Norwegian. During the Second World War, he became a fighter pilot for the RAF. In the 1940s he started to write stories for children and adults and he become one of the world's best-selling authors. He has also been called "one of the greatest storytellers for children of the 20th century".

THE PLOT

One day, Willy Wonka put up a competition after hving hidden all over the word 5 gold tickets in 5 choocolate bars. Who find this choocolate bars can enter in the choocolate factory. The winners of the contest are five: Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teavee and Charlie Bucket.

Once inside the factory, Charlie and the other contest winners, accompanied by Willy Wonka, discover a wonderful place.However, during the factory tour, some of the winners are eliminated due to their bad deeds and their lack of respect for the rules.

Charlie is rewarded by Willy Wonka with the opportunity to own the chocolate factory. Charlie is happy and grateful for this opportunity and promises to continue making the most delicious chocolate in the world.
