We use the present continuous to talk about: -Actions in progress at the moment of speaking. →I can’t answer the phone. I am having a shower. -Temporary actions and situations. →John is living in New York for a few months. -Future plans →Jeff is visiting a museum tomorrow morning

TIME EXPRESSIONS

We often use present continuous with the following time expressions: -Now, right now, at the moment, today, this week.

WATCH OUT!

Some verbs are not usually used in the present continuous because they describe states, not actions. Have(=possess), need, love, hate, want, prefer, believe, know, understand, think (=have an opinion), mean, hear, see, seem, etc.
