What is Exploration?

This stage focuses on enabling stakeholders in identifying the need for change, learning about TRANSIT, what it takes to implement and sustain TRANSIT effectively, developing a team to support the work as it progresses through the stages, growing stakeholders and champions, assessing and creating readiness for change, developing communication processes to support and sustain TRANSIT implementation.

What is Full Implementation?

The skillful use TRANSIT processes and strategies that are well-integrated into the repertoire of school personnel and routinely and effectively supported by successive school personnel implementing TRANSIT, middle managers, and school leaders.

What is Initial Implementation?

The first use of an TRANSIT processes and strategies by school personnel, including those implementing TRANSIT. Initial implementation is about trying out those new skills and practices, and getting better in implementation. In this stage, data is gathered to analyse how implementation is going, and developing improvement strategies based on the data. Implementation supports are refined based on data. For example, we might find teachers in a particular school could better infuse self-management skills as part of their daily lessons so we would think about approaches to support the teachers and the data to be gathered to ascertain the effectiveness of these appraoches.

What is Installation?

This process is about securing and developing the support needed to put or sustain TRANSIT as intended, developing feedback loops between the school personnel implementing TRANSIT and leadership level in order to streamline communication, and gathering feedback on how new practices are being implemented.
