Climate Change in Florida
Prevention
According to the EPA, Florida is at a great risk of damage by climate change due to its status as a peninsula and a hot spot for tourism.
Similarities
Effects
Impact
Over the past decade the Florida peninsula has increased its average temperature by more than one degree. The shorelines have decreased by an inch due to a rising sea level and the landmass is beginning to sink.
Global Impact
Florida being a major influence in the agricluture and tourism fields would cause a major loss in cattle, fruit, and leisure causing an economical impact. Greater winds and stronger storms can also be a result in the increasing temperatures causing a loss of homes and a danger to human health.
Climate Change Prevention
According to journalists and Florida based ecologists the only preventions and action taken against climate change is by adapting to the change. Florida's federal system has not taken action to reduce carbon emissions and release of greenhouse gases.

Places with similar damages
Other than the Florida peninsula, there are other locations across the globe that are experiencing similar damages like rising sea level and increased heat index. These include the southern ends of Asia and parts of the mediterranean.
