In 2021, the cement sector avoided emitting 1,087,541 tonnes of CO2, thanks to the use of alternative fuels, equivalent to the emissions produced by 304,699 petrol cars.
Furthermore, thanks to the material and energy recovery of waste: - We reduced the amount of waste destined for landfill.
- We saved energy.
- We reduced air and water contamination.
- We protected natural resources.
- We created new jobs.
