Kindergarten of Ampelakia Palavra Konstantina

In the school year 2023-2024, the Kindergarten of Ampelakia Trikala participated in an eTwinning program entitled "Space Vpyagers". Students from Greece, Turkey, Romania, Italy participated in the program. The participation gave the students the opportunity to develop communication and cooperation skills as well as to gain new experiences and knowledge. Young students discover the secrets of space through activities that combine science, tecnology, engineering.arts and mathematics (STEAM).

The project • Provided students with specialized knowledge of Space and Earth • Students became familiar with STEAM activities (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics • They developed students' collaboration skills through interactions and exchange of thoughts, feelings and actions • Emphasized the European dimension of Education through communication with students from different countries

The engine for acquiring knowledge was...........Luna!

The story of Luna Luna is captured in space by an unfriendly scientist and wants to return back to Earth. Space voyagers will accompany Luna in space and help the Space dog to take on 4 missions in order to break free and return to earth.

Formative evaluation

From the participants’ responses, it appears thatthe children are very satisfied with the project, they inform their parents about the activities, they have fun and spend time together playing digital games. The parents are also mostly satisfied with the course of the project and with their participation in it.

Theresults show that thestudents areexcited aboutparticipatingintheproject, theyfind theactivities interesting(witha particularpreferenceforexperiments) and feel morecomfortable when meeting online with studentsfrom thesamecountry

According to the results, the participating teachers are very satisfied with the project and its course and believe that it improves them personally and professionally
