Do Not Disturb (DND)

You can activate DND mode by pressing the DND softkey when you're not on a call. Activating DND will send all incoming calls to Voicemail, and will not turn off on it's own. When you are available to take calls again, make sure to press the key a second time to deactivate DND mode.

Voice Mailbox

To check your Voice Mailbox, simply press the Voice Mail icon (a small sealed envelope) and follow the voice prompts. All you will need is your Voice Mailbox Pin.Changing your Voice Mail message can be done from within the Voice Mail prompts as well, and you will need your Voice Mailbox Pin.

Hold Vs. Mute

The Hold key and the Mute key accomplish similar things, but are quite different. You can see the mute key towards the right of your Yealink device, it looks like a microphone with a cross through it. You will still be able to hear the caller, and there will be no obvious sign that you have muted yourself other than a completely silent line. If you use this option, make sure to tell the caller beforehand so that they don't think you've hung up. The hold key is only available during a call, and will place the caller on Hold, at which point you will be unable to hear them, and they will be unable to hear you as the Hold message plays on repeat until you pick up.

Parking a Call

You can park an active call by pressing the Park soft key or the park key (if configured) on the phone. If the call is parked successfully, you will hear a voice prompt confirming that the call was parked. You can retrieve the parked call by pressing the Retrieve soft key or the retrieve park key (if configured).

Checking History

By pressing the 'History' Soft Key, you will be able to check incoming, outgoing and missed call history. Use the directional arrows on your phone to navigate this option, and the softkeys to manage the information provided by History.

Transfer: Blind vs. Attended

<Blind>: Press the answer soft key to answer the incoming call, press the ‘Tran’ soft key to start the blind transfer process. Dial the extension number of the person you want to transfer the call to. Press the ‘Tran’ soft key again to complete the Blind Transfer. <Attended>: Press the ‘Answer’ soft key to answer the incoming call. Determine where they want or need to be transferred to. Press the ‘Tran’ soft key to start the attended transfer (this will automatically put the caller on hold), dial the extension number of the person you want to transfer the call to, then press the ‘OK’ key to call. When the recipient answers, ask them if they can accept the transfer, after they confirm whether they accept, you can press the ‘Tran’ soft key to transfer the call, or return to the caller if the recipient did not pick up, or declined the call.

Speaker Phone

If you find the need to go hands-free, but do not have your headset handy, or if you want to share the call with someone nearby to your phone, you can press the 'Speaker' button in order to use your phone's external speaker. Please be mindful of your coworkers around you when using this option if you are in an open office environment.

Mute

Pressing the mute key will mute your personal microphone. The person on the line will not be able to hear you, but you will be able to hear them. Note: There is no indication that the mute key has been pressed other than the line being silent.

Conference Calls

Make or answer a call. Press Conference soft key, the first caller or recipient of your call will be placed on hold. Dial the number of the caller you wish to add to the conference, then press the Conference soft key again. Once the call has been answered, press Conference again and the callers will be added to the conference.
