What is the Willow Project?
Let me give a brief summary
One of the clearest examples today is the Willow Project, which involves ConocoPhillips extracting oil from federally safeguarded lands in the North Slope of the Brook Range, Alaska, clearly a crime and causing exuberant amounts of carbon dioxide to be released into the atmosphere if approved.
Here is an example
One of the clear examples of echo fascism during the pandemic, was when (at the time) US President Donald Trump started spreading the ideology that Covid 19 did not exist and also used the racist term "Chinese Virus" on the Twitter platform, clearly causing controversy and in the people who supported him, increasing the hatred towards this population.
Within this dimension we find what would be a clear example of fallacy that leads directly to an eco fascism, during the pandemic many of the governments began to give "speeches" in which directly incriminated the Chinese population, declaring guilty for the origin of the virus Covid 19, this caused in large part in that society began to make hate crimes against Asian people, increasing xenophobia and racism, and all with the excuse that they "contaminate the world" or are "the Chinese virus" when in China, one of the largest and most overpopulated countries, they have such problems and the government seeks ways to issue hate speeches, and make the population and the world believe a distorted image of China.
So...What's the solution?
During the pandemic, increasing cases of racism and xenophobia among this population, through the networks many people who observed the situation began to support and stand up also to fight against the discrimination that existed and began to spread hashtags and expose the different cases in what was committed to this problem, so it was becoming more and more viral the visibility of the crimes that they performed to the population. As thinking people and beings, we have the ability to truly inform ourselves and not be part of the problem and thereby stop the spread of these crimes.
- This image shows a sign from a protest held in Virginia, exclaiming and I quote "We are not a virus. Stop hating the Chinese" clearly in the face of so many hate crimes and murders that have occurred because of misinformation has led the Chinese population to rise up and protest for their rights and the terrible injustices they are living. Faced with this type of situation, what we see in the media and what happens in the environment, think that there are many creative ways to start making a difference, there are many pages on the Internet to support the cause and do not forget that many people have the reach that through the networks you can inform you.
Tiktok and Instagram are the biggest media in which there are many users who have the motivation to change the world, here are some examples that can help you to be more aware of the situation:
Think 'bout this
Many times as individuals we have this type of processing in which when faced with different risk situations, we look for all possible ways to get out of that state, however, have you ever asked yourself, how do you feel when a similar situation happens to other living beings like you?
