INFECTION CONTROL PLAN

  • If an accidental cut occurs during the haircut, immediately cease the service and inform client about incident
  • Put on disposable gloves to protect against potential bloodborne pathogens
  • Apply gentle pressure with a clean cloth or tissue to stop the bleeding.
  • After bleeding has stopped, disinfect the area using an antiseptic or alcohol wipe to reduce risk of infection
  • If the cut is severe or exposes deeper tissue layers, seek medical attention promptly.

  1. Remove hair and debris from bristles by gently pulling them with your fingers or using a comb.
  2. Mix warm water with shampoo or a mild detergent in a bowl.
  3. Submerge in the soapy water and gently agitate it to loosen any product buildup.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap residue.
  5. Pat dry with a clean towel and reshape the bristles if needed.
  6. Sanitize by spraying the bristles with a salon-grade disinfectant, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow it to air dry
  1. Remove the clipper blade and clean it separately with a brush under running water.
  2. Wipe down the clipper housing and handle with a damp, soapy cloth.
  3. Dry the clipper with a clean towel or allow it to air dry.
  4. Sanitize the clipper blade and housing with a suitable disinfectant, following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  1. If the razor has disposable parts (e.g., blades), replace them with new ones for each client.
  2. For non-disposable razors, remove the blade and clean the handle with warm, soapy water.
  3. Scrub the blade thoroughly with a brush under running water to remove any hair or product residue.
  4. Dry the blade and handle with a clean towel.
  5. Sanitize the razor handle with a salon-grade disinfectant and let it air dry.
  1. Remove any hair or debris from blades using a soft brush or a cloth.
  2. Immerse in warm, soapy water and gently wipe the blades with a clean cloth or sponge.
  3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue.
  4. Wipe the blades dry with a clean towel or allow them to air dry.
  5. To sanitize, spray the blades with a salon grade disinfectant and let it sit for the recommended time before wiping dry
  1. Thoroughly remove any visible hair, debris or product build up with soft brush or air
  2. Apply disinfectant to foil and blades
  3. Wipe down any areas that come in contact with clients skin with clean cloth or disposable wipes
  4. Allow disinfectanct to airdry
.
  1. Soak in warm, soapy water for a few minutes to loosen debris and product buildup.
  2. Scrub the teeth and surface with a brush to remove any residue.
  3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  4. If the combs are heat-resistant, they can be sanitized by dipping them in hot water (at least 160°F or 71°C) for 5-10 minutes. Otherwise, use a salon-grade disinfectant to sanitize.
