Communities of Learners can be effective when the groups find common ground for data discussions, book studies, instructional interventions, and examining of student work. Often such these teams can become self-directed and work on their own in teams

District wide professional development is a model that introduces and entire faculty and staff and an important topic that needs to be addressed. Everyone will haved a cooperative learning training day that is supported through the district.

Effectiveness
“professional development is most effective when it occurs in the context of educators’ daily work." (Hopping & Stevenson, 2014). Through the use of peer observation we can embed professional learning into the daily work day. For this PD to be effective the administrative team should provide training and develop simple observation sheets or roadmaps so that individuals participating have specific objectives. Debriefing is essential afterthe observations and cross teaching

The whole-group delivery PD is effective when it is something that will benefit the entire staff as a whole. Something that everyone needs to learn.

The Districtwide PD is effective when it has the full practice and coaching of all staff. It needs to be well planned out to allow for effective continous development to that targeted towards student engagement and achievement.

Effectiveness
They are planned strategically and include general overall goals of the district as well as goals that are pertinant to the school and their needs. It can be among the most effective when leadership undestand the facilitation process, and how to set goals and get all the matrials across to all staff members.
