Module Description
How to Interview Like a STAR is a part of the company's off-boarding program offered at the end of the six-month college graduate internship program. As our interns are moving on to the next stage of their careers, the company is dedicated to setting them up for success, starting with interviews. According to our intern alum, a main area of growth they would like support with is becoming confident and competent during the interviewing process. Therefore, in this microlearning module, interns will explore the STAR Interview Method to prepare them for future interviews. They are welcome to take this module on their own time and are invited to follow-up with their mentor afterward. As a part of the module, our interns will be encouraged to write their own responses to behavioral questions. These are a great exercise to work with their mentor on, otherwise completion of the module and included activities is up to each individual intern.
Module Objective
Learners will be able to identify and use all four pieces of the STAR interview method to answer behavioral questions during a job interview.
Logistics
The How to Interview Like a STAR module will be created using the Genial.ly software, allowing learners to participate in this learning experience from their own devices or those they have access to through the company. The module itself should take no more than 5 minutes total, howevwer there are several open-ended questions towards the end that participants can dedicate as much time to as they would like. In addition to the open ended questiosn that participants will answer, there are several quiz questions integrated into the module as well.
