Invertebrate Paleontology, where you study invertebrate animal fossils, such as mollusks. 2. Vertebrate Paleontology, which is where someone studies vertebrate fossils, from primitive fishes to mammals. 3. Human Paleontology, which is the study of prehistoric human and proto-human fossils.
