Lesson 1:
Launching documents: Pictures of a Leprechaun, Hurling, Guinness, , flag, harp..(x6)
With an Irish music in background
Each student gets a card and this creates 6 groups.
Each seeks information about its topic as experts: history geography food/music and sport, through activities , games
Themes and activities: Geo a Map will be given Jigsaw of Ireland and
Ulster online (four
mains parts) Then copy on their
chart the names of the
main cities, etc..
Themes and activities: Food, music and sports yt videos and matching
games , memory games
etc…
Themes and activities: History a text will be given A timeline made out of
texts and pictures on
paper or live worksheet.
Lesson 2:
After each team has to ask questions about the 2 other items to the experts groups and
complete their own blank worksheets.
The teacher can help the groups which didn’t get all the answers.
Lessons 3 and 4:
Let's go to Dublin. Treasure Hunt
Work on a Map ❖ 6 groups solve 6 enigmas to find information on
GPO / a Cathedral / EPIC / pub / Dublinia / Croke Park … ❖ They have access to : flyers, videos, websites, articles
⇒ 2 possibilities : they have a paper map and they move from table to table OR they have
an interactive map on a pad or laptop and they can stay at the same place. ❖ 3 enigmas per lesson
12-15 minutes per enigma ❖ buzzer when time’s out and they go for the next enigma.

The teacher stamp their passport : red = not enough good answers 1 point / yellow = there
are mistakes 2 points / green = ok but not complete 3 points / dark green = perfect 4 points
Lesson 5 :
verification and correction Kahoot
Lessons 6 and 8 : the teacher has to select one option
final task : written or oral = share your experience ⇒ write a mail to your friends / family to tell about your holiday in Dublin
⇒ record a video message ⇒ be a guide a prepare a leaflet on Dublin ⇒ sketch a conversation on a Pub with friends
