The causes that made the Roman Empire fall

  • Economic challenges tested the empire's ability to maintain its infrastructure, finance the military, and ensure social stability.
  • Military weaknesses left the empire vulnerable to external threats, unable to defend its borders effectively, and decrease its dissuasion capacities.

How the Romans tried to solve them

  • Political instability: they tried to solve it by dividing the Roman Empire in two parts: West and East.
  • Economic Decline: emperors tried to make new coins with less valuable metal, and also they tried to control prices and taxes to make things fairer for people.
  • Military Weakness: Romans built walls and forts along their borders to keep out invaders.
