Biassss
We are biased sometimes we do it unconciously and sometimes we do it conciously, so let's fight
When we meet people, we often judge them based on what we see, like their age, weight and attractiveness. But we may also judge them on their accent, where they studied and their socio-economic status.
Concious biased happens when you really believe a determined group of people are the same or will do an action, this happens because you believe that your experiences have taken you to think that way but there are not real facts confirming it.
How do we manage bias
We now know what bias is and the problems it can carry, it is now time to know how to handle it.
Manage your bias
- Be aware of your unconscious biases
- Make considered decisions
- Monitor your and your team's behaviour
- Widen your social circle
- Set ground rules for behaviour
- Avoid making assumptions or relying on gut instinct
- Speak out if you notice bias

Some of the aspectas that we will be discussing during this training that involve being a leader are:

Setting goals
"When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates."
Achieving the impossible
When setting goals is really important to always consider the following details. Make sure to align the goals to the mision and vision this will help to boost your leadership, you also need to understand the enviroment this will help you see internal and external challenges to achieve a goal. When you are setting goals you need to involve the stake holders you want to make sure that they know and support them. Another topic to consider is to choose a goal setting frame one of the most used frameworks is the SMART. Lastly do not forget to create goals that create a challenge and when you have the goals, create a way to communicate the goals. Do not forget that the most powerfull goals are the ones set as a team that creates a sense of ownership.

Honesty and integrity
The key to success
Honesty will give you the tools to be succesful
Work honestly
Metrics manipulation
You work honestly when you strive with real intent to finish your tasks
This is one of the most common ways to do work fraud be careful and do what is expected from you
It is really important that you always give importance to honesty , remember that what you do when no one is watching is what really defines who you are
Time tracking
Ask
If you feel that you don't know something it is better to always ask, instead of doing incorrect things
Make sure that you are consistent in the way that you track your time and that it always reflect the real work hours

Educational
Education level can be a part of someone’s background that affects how they fit into a workplace environment. People with different educational experiences have different types of cultural capital that they use to solve problems and approach situations in the workplace. Because many employers hire for positions based on education or equivalent work experience, this can result in people with drastically different education levels working on the same projects and implementing different methodologies based on their own educational background.
Ethnic
From Asia to Oceania to Africa and America Bloom has worked really hard to develope a presence in these places now is our task to work to make them feel at home. Ethnic, racial and national backgrounds have a significant impact on workplace norms. Some cultures are more direct about communication while others have indirect habits in the workplace. Similarly, certain countries expect employees to always defer to leaders and wait to be given opportunities, while others require employees to take initiative and hustle to be recognized.

Religious
It is possible that while working at Bloom you feel that most of the people have the same beliefs as you, but be careful we don't want anyone feel left outside for not having the same religious beliefs as you have. Religious affiliation has a strong impact on people’s values, which can affect their workplace behavior and priorities. Religion can impact what people perceive as ethical behavior, influencing their decision-making in the workplace. People have the right to express their religion, so it is essential for businesses to have policies in place that are respectful to people’s individual beliefs while also upholding fair standards of conduct for clients and customers.

Food, hobbies and more
Food hobbies and more can change from region to region it is important to acknoledge those differences and create awareness across the whole team, this will help you better connect with your team and more genuily show interest.
Generational
In Bloom you will see employees from different ages going from very young people to some more experienced. It is important that you learn how to work with everyone here you can see some important inputs. People’s outlook and values tend to vary based on their generation. Someone’s generation can have an impact on their ideas about professionalism, collaboration, communication, leadership, work ethic and workplace culture. Baby Boomers tend to be loyal to an employer and expect to have a long-term career at a single workplace, believing that success comes from making sacrifices and working through the leadership structure. Millennials highly value work-life balance and seek consistent opportunities for growth, even if that means moving on to another company, project or position.

Comunication
Communication is one of our core values at Bloom, and this core value really shows the importance of communication in a remote enviroment. Communication can affect the accent people have the speaking tempo, and also the word choice contractors select to communicate with you. Consider that for some people English will be their mother tongue and for others will be their second language and this can bring differences across the team. Part of the communication is the nonverbal communications which is an important part of the communication and can vary from region to region.
