Amelia Earhart was born July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. Her passion for flying started at a young age. of 7 when she and her sister Muriel made their very own rollercoaster. The rollercoaster crashed, and Amelia told her sister, "It was just like she was flying". Amelia had many flying adventures. However, on her last flight attempting to fly around the world, she disappeared and was never heard from again. She was declared dead on January 5, 1939.
Amelia's Accomplishments:
- She was the first women to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
- She motivated women to follow their career paths and supported equal rights for women.
- She formed an all-female organization of pilots called the "Ninety-Nines".
