"Pinóquio estava em brasas" (Página 50)
At home, Pinocchio went to dry himself by the fire, but he fell asleep and his feet caught fire and turned to ashes. In the morning, someone knocked on the door. It was Geppetto. After entering the house, Geppetto gave Pinocchio pears that he had brought for himself and made him new feet. He made some clothes for Pinocchio and sold his coat to buy a schoolbook for the boy.
When Pinocchio felt better, the little girl asked him how the little boy had got there and he told a little lie, his nose had grown. He panicked and, after much crying, the little girl clapped her hands and two woodpeckers appeared and bit him until his nose was normal again. So Pinocchio went in search of his father. Halfway there, he found the Cat and the Fox and they convinced Pinocchio to go to the field of miracles to plant the golden coins.
One of the feelings felt throughout history is happiness.
"E agora, como estou contente por me ter transformado num rapazinho a sério!"(Página 255)

"- Disse-me o grande amor que lhe tenho." (Página 146)
Pinocchio, riding a donkey, was excited but also a little sad to leave the Fairy. When they arrived, Pinocchio noticed there were only children and that everything was a mess, but he discovered it was a good life. After five months of playing, the boy got a terrible surprise... he had donkey ears! What's worse, Espeto had the problem too, and they both turned into two donkeys. So a man came along to take them away. But where would those two donkeys go?
One of the feelings felt throughout history is pain.
"Chorou toda a noite e, na manhã seguinte, ao nascer do dia, ainda chorava, embora os olhos já não tivessem mais lágrimas para deitar"(Página 131)
The talking cricket He is a good counsellor and a know-it-all about life. Although Pinocchio doesn't listen to him, he even cares about the little boy.
Pinocchio was inside the shark. After passing a very chatty tuna, Pinocchio saw a small light and went to investigate, and got the best surprise of his life. He finally found his father! His father explained to him how he had survived that far and they decided to run away. It was night, so they climbed up the shark's mouth. It wasn't easy and they fell once, but when they reached the sea, Pinocchio swam a long way. After a while Pinocchio was tired and when he was almost dead, the tuna appeared and helped them and took them to the beach.
Later the girl with blue hair called 3 doctors, the crow, the owl and the talking cricket. After a long discussion, they discovered that Pinocchio was still alive. So the little girl handed him a cup that would save him, and after almost being taken to the afterlife, Pinocchio drank it and was cured.
When Pinocchio arrived at the Fairy's house, he realised that she had died. But suddenly a pigeon appeared and said he knew Geppetto and had saw him on a beach. Hearing this, Pinocchio was happy and they both set off in search of Pinocchio's father. Days and nights passed and they were both thirsty and hungry, until they reached the beach and saw Geppetto's boat, almost shipwrecked. So Pinocchio swam in to try and save his father.
Arriving home alone, Pinocchio came across a talking cricket who tried to give him advice, which the boy rejected. Upon entering the house, Pinocchio was starving, but there was nothing to eat. He then found an egg and after much fuss, he didn't even eat it at all. Then he tried to ask for bread, but it was raining and he had no luck...
Pinocchio was sold to a circus where life was terrible. Until the day of the show came and the donkey was unlucky enough to fall and become lame. So the circus owner decided to sell him to a gentleman who wanted to profit from his skin. They arrived at the beach and the gentleman sent him into the water with a rock around his neck to drown him. But when he went into the water, Pinocchio turned into a puppet again. Pinocchio kept swimming and found a little blue goat on a rock that looked like the fairy. But while he was getting closer, something came after him....
Geppetto Pinocchio's father is patient, but a real beast when he's angry. Like his son, he is persistent and does not give up easily (he did not give up looking for Pinocchio).
One of the feelings felt throughout history is fear.
"...foi tomado por um terror e uma tremura tão grandes que já não tinha nem voz nem fôlego para pedir socorro."(Página 173)
Pinocchio did everything right, then one day the Fairy said she was going to turn him into a real boy. Pinocchio invited all his classmates and finally his best friend Espeto, but he wasn't home. When he finally found him, Espeto told him he was going to Toyland, a place where children only play and have fun from morning to night. Espeto invited Pinocchio, who accepted.
Pinocchio arrived on a wonderful island, hungry, when he met a kind woman who promised him if he would take her bowl, she would give him food and drink. After a while, Pinocchio realised he knew the woman and discovered she was his little blue-haired girl, but now she had grown up. So, after Pinocchio promised that he would be very good, the Fairy promised that she would be his mum and, if all went well, she would turn the puppet into a real boy.
Pinocchio Fun, funny, mischievous and naive are good adjectives to describe Pinocchio, a wooden boy. He is adventurous, hopeful, honest and persistent, but sometimes selfish and ungrateful (at the beginning of the book, with his father, Geppetto).
On his way out, Pinocchio met a Cat and a Fox who told him that he could plant the gold coins in the fool's field. Pinocchio accepted and, after walking a long way, they stopped to rest. They ate and slept, but at the agreed time their companions had disappeared, and Pinocchio set off alone.
He started working and helped a lot, until one day the snail, the Fairy's friend and companion, appeared and told him that she was in hospital. So Pinocchio gave all his money to save the Fairy and, while he slept, he dreamt about her. In the morning, when he woke up, he discovered that he was no puppet anymore, but a real boy!
Pinocchio walked until he met the shadow of the talking cricket who told him to stop walking, but Pinocchio did not give up. He kept going and came across two murderers, who tried to rob him. The boy ran away and found a house where a little girl with blue hair was standing at the window. Pinocchio called for help but she could do nothing. The murderers found him and hanged him from a branch of the big oak tree.
On his first day at school, Pinocchio saw a puppet theatre, and decided he would miss school to go see the show. So he sold his booklet to buy a ticket. When the show started, Pinocchio was recognised as the brother of the puppets, which caused a big fuss. The angry theatre proprietor grabbed Pinocchio to hurt him, but when he saw the boy screaming, he changed his mind and gave him 5 gold coins.
Girl with blue hair (fairy) The girl with blue hair has a good heart and always help people who need. She is loving, caring and prudent, warning Pinocchio to stay out of trouble. The fairy is very pretty.
He met a snake that was going to eat him, but Pinocchio managed to escape. Pinocchio was halfway there when he got hungry and decided to go to a vineyard to try to eat something, but he was caught and made to play watchdog. Until, in the middle of the night, two weasels, who wanted to steal some chickens, told him that if he didn't say anything, they would give him a chicken for his lunch the next day. So Pinocchio agreed and, as they were leaving, Pinocchio called for the farmer, who caught the weasels and, as a reward, let Pinocchio go.
The cat and the fox Both tricksters are treacherous and malicious. They take advantage of the weak, tricking and robbing them, like Pinocchio. Both have weaknesses.
The next day, Pinocchio went to school and was a big laugh. Until one day, Pinocchio's classmates convinced him to skip school and go see a giant shark at the beach. When he arrived, Pinocchio didn't see any sharks, and discovered that his classmates had set him up to skip school. The boy got very upset and they started fighting, until Pinocchio hurt one of the boys and was caught by the police. He managed to escape, but he was being chased by a police dog and the running was getting difficult. The dog fell into the water and Pinocchio saved him from drowning, winning his friendship.
They walked and arrived at the Miracles's Camp. He planted his coins and went for a walk. When he arrived, he met a parrot who said the cat and the fox had taken the coins. After hearing this, Pinocchio went to the tribunal and the judge was a gorilla who, on hearing the story, sent him to jail. After 4 months, Pinocchio got out of jail. Then he went to the fairy's house, but he found something on his way....
. They walked on and found the Cat and the Fox, both in a very bad way. They asked for help and Pinocchio refused, saying he had already been tricked once. Pinocchio and Geppetto knocked on the door of a house, went inside and found the talking cricket! Pinocchio's father was thirsty and the boy went to get him a glass of milk from a cowshed, but as he had no money, he had to fix up the cowherd's nora. After getting her, Pinocchio got his glass of milk and left.
Pinocchio kept swimming until he came to a cave inhabited by a strange fisherman who looked like a sea monster. When he saw Pinocchio, the man thought he was a very rare fish and wanted to try him. He prepared everything and was about to fry it when a dog appeared (the dog Pinocchio had saved) and rescued him from that horrible man. When he got ashore, he found a gentleman who made him a dressing gown and he went to the Fairy's house. The girl said she forgave him, but he had to behave and go to school.
Once upon a time, a plank, different from the others, was transformed into a wooden boy, who had life. After being built, the boy ran away from home and got into troubles, creating problems for his father, Geppetto.
