The “to have” verb is the second most commonly used verb in the English language, and it have many important uses.

We use have to talk about possession, events, actions, experiences and activities.

'How to use the irregular verb "have"...

  • main verb at a simple present and past tense
  • as an auxiliary verb
  • with causatives
  • In simple present the verb change when we conjugate the verb with HE, SHE, IT
Example: She has 3 brothers.
  • In simple past the verb is HAD for all subjects
Example: She had a party yesterday.
Have: possession Used to talk about things that someone owns or possesses
