Federalismo

Se refiere al conjunto de grupos y procesos políticos que interactúan en un entorno histórico y cultural y se caracterizan por cierto grado de interdependencia recíproca que se expresa en las prácticas, hábitos, rituales y reglas no escritas que organizan la competencia por el poder político entre los actores y entre la clase política.

El Poder Ejecutivo gobierna de conformidad con lo establecido por la legislación. Su titular, Presidente Constitucional de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, es elegido mediante elecciones directas cada seis años sin posibilidad de reelección. Para hacer sus labores el Presidente tiene que nombrar a sus colaboradores más cercanos, que son los secretarios de Estado y el Procurador General de la República.

Poder Ejecutivo

Está encargado de vigilar el cumplimiento de la Constitución y las leyes. Al efecto preserva que la Constitución sea la ley suprema y que no haya ninguna ley o norma que la contradiga. También resuelve controversias entre la Federación y las entidades federativas.

Poderes

El Poder Legislativo se deposita en el Congreso de la Unión, y se divide en dos Cámaras, una de Diputados y otra de Senadores. El Congreso se encarga de expedir leyes que regulan la estructura y funcionamiento internos de la República Mexicana.

Existen: Sistemas competitivos: cualquier partido puede ganar; y los sistemas no competitivos: solamente gana el partido gobernante

Los partidos sirven para ayudar a los ciudadanos a elegir postulados a las elecciones, pero también sirven como mediadores entre el gobierno y los ciudadanos.

Unipartidismo: la presencia única del partido gobernante. Bipartidismo: la existencia de dos partidos relevantes. Multipartidismo: la existencia de más de dos partidos importantes.
