Introduction
Recruiting can be exciting, and often managers tend to dive into the market to find a like-for-like replacement. Most of the time, this is definitely the right approach to take. However, there is a benefit in reviewing whether alternatives might benefit you, the Team, and Zen. We know that as and when you have a vacancy you will always review the requirements, and this consideration can be a part of that. In this toolkit, we will review the alternative methods that are considered at Zen along with the positives and negatives of each approach. Although we don't currently use all the different approaches, the People And Culture team is always reviewing recruitment, so if you have any feedback, please get in touch with one of the HR Team.

Graduates
Positives
It is likely that graduates have more knowledge in their chosen field.
Negatives
If you are interested in recruiting via a graduate program - please speak to a member of the HR Team.
May need more support, no recognisable qualification, the level of support needed may be the same as an apprentice
Boot Camps
Positives
Likely to have more life experiences and be highly motivated as they have taken a break to learn a new skill
Negatives
Potentially a costly mode of recruitment, may not be as expensive as an agency. May need to provide Zen specific training. Likely to have a very specific skill set
