A diferent age but the same love...
In the new millennium, the strong presence of the genre continues, now with more technology in the instruments that contributes to the execution of the melodies. Subgenres continue to emerge and accompany the development of heavy metal that to this day continues to captivate the public in love of good music.
Origen
In 1968, in Birmingham, England, the Black Sabbath group gave rise to this musical genre. Some time later, groups like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin began to enter this genre.
Its origins are attributed to a fusion between blues, rock and even classical music.
The Golden Age
In the 80s, heavy metal gets harder and the pace accelerates and it is at this time that other subgenres begin to appear. Considered the golden age of the genre, it was in this decade that many bands that are famous today emerged. If you are looking for the most important bands of this decade, you will find names like Def Leppard, Van Halen, Twisted Sister, Hellhammer, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax and Venom.
Expansion of the genre
In this decade, the first aspect of the genre emerged, the mixture between traditional metal and punk, known as the new wave of British heavy metal. The most representative bands of the genre of this decade were Sir Lord Baltimore, Blue Öyster Cult, Aerosmith, Scorpions, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Nazareth, Kiss, Diamond Head and Iron Maiden.
Swedish Ghost
Ghost is a Swedish heavy metal band, formed in Linköping, Sweden. Ghost is easily recognizable by his eccentric live performance. Five of the six band members dress virtually identically and cover their faces with masks. The most notable member of the band is the vocalist, who wears a prosthetic face with a skull pattern on it, looking like what could be described as a "demonic Antipope".
Primal Fear
Primal Fear is a band from Germany that has had great success as an exponent of Heavy Metal. His style is inspired by that of Judas Priest, but with influences from Power Metal, which makes his music sound more powerful and heavy but with more melodic choruses typical of German metal. The band was created by Ralf Scheepers (Gamma Ray, Tyran's Pace) and Mat Sinner (Shiva, Sinner)
The Guitar solos are all...
With the arrival of the 90s, bands innovate even more and other subgenres continue to emerge. The technique in the solos of electric guitars becomes an inevitable spectacle in the best concerts and the virtuosos of this instrument shine on stage. The main heavy metal bands of the 90s were Sepultura, Pantera, Exhorder, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Rammstein and Marilyn Manson.
