Effects of colonization in Mexico

Economic exploitation in the colonization: It provoked the exploitation especially of gold and silver, which provoked a legacy of economic and social inequality. In addition, most of the income went to foreigners, as well as investments. It is still the same today

Language: With the Spanish colonization, the Spanish language was introduced to Mexico, which is spoken today. And therefore the indigenous languages are being lost today.

European culture: Many of our indigenous cultures were lost thanks to the colonization, such as traditions, music, gastronomy, etc...

The basis of the current political system: due to colonization and its hierarchical system, which was based on a viceroy, then this hierarchy was adapted to Mexico, to become the new political system.
