Read the story.
Today is a special day in Ms. Avery´s class. It´s Anna´s birthday! Kim is excited to see her friend. Kim hugs Anna. Ms. Avery and the rest of the children sing the happy birthday song. Anna looks very happy. Anna gives an invitation to everyone. The invitation is beautiful. How fun! Kim loves birthday parties and presents. All the children are thinking about costumes, balloons, and cake. Tony will be Superman, Kate will be a princess, and Carolyn will be an elephant. Only one boy is sad.
Read the story.
Everybody is so busy thinking about the party. Kim looks at the boy with a white T-shirt, brown pants, and sad eyes. Kim sees that he doesn´t have an invitation. Kim runs to tell Anna that Steve doesn´t have an invitation. Anna finds Steve´s invitation at the botton of her backpack. "I´m sorry," says Anna, "I want you to come to my party too." Anna and Steve smile. Kim feels happy to make others happy!
