Maison Cattier created a small new champagne release, named Armand de Brignac, with a taste profile and offering designed to capture the opportunity of the future. Armand de Brignac Brut Gold was personally selected to feature in the release of JAY-Z’s “Show Me What You Got” music video. Heralding a new beginning for Armand de Brignac. The brand now has two recognized names, Armand de Brignac and “Ace of Spades,” referring to the bottle’s labels.

THE EXPERIENCE
The first release from Armand de Brignac, the Brut Gold remains the most iconic cuvée in the range. Rich with the old-world traditions of champagne blending, it is a trio of vintages from some of the most lauded terroirs in the region, resulting in a prestige cuvée that expresses vibrant fresh fruit character, and layers of complexity and is enjoyable from the first sip.
Tasting Notes
Peach, apricot, and red berry aromas are followed by crystalized citrus, orange blossom and hints of brioche. The palate is rich with cherries, exotic fruits and a touch of lemon, vanilla, and honey. The mouth feel is soft and creamy, with a hint of toastiness, from the unique Armand de Brignac dosage which is aged for one year in French oak barrels.
Food Pairings
Brut Gold Ideal as an aperitif or pairs perfectly with seared scallops, roasted quail and freshwater fish.
Brut Rose Ideal as an aperitif or pairs well with truffled veal, duck confit and wild salmon.
THE REFLECTIVE COATING
The reflective coating is both symbolic and functional. The outside metal coating on the bottles protects the liquid from the damaging impacts of lightstrike. Each bottle of Armand de Brignac is metallized and finished with the hand-application of French pewter labels before final polishing. All bottles come with the most elaborate protective packaging to avoid scratches and ensure an impeccable experience.
It takes a full hour to polish and hand-label just 20 bottles (vs. several thousand with automated paper labeling).
