Death of Maureen Prescott
On September 28th, 1995, 44 year old housewife Maureen Prescott was found, having been murdered. Cotton Weary, whom she was having an affair with, was arrested for her murder and later convicted of murder in the first degree. Maureen's daughter, Sidney Prescott, testified in court as a key witness. Currently, reporter Gale Weathers is working to exonerate Cotton.

On the night of September 25th, 1998, Woodsboro high school students Casey Becker and Steven "Steve" Orth were found dead at Becker's home. Casey had been home alone and preparing to watch a movie when she started receiving strange, threatening phone calls. This caller led her to discover the mutilated body of her boyfriend Steve and later broke into her house. After chasing Casey and stabbing her several times , Ghostface caught her and stabbed her to death and hung her in the front yard, where her body was discovered by her parents.

Death of Principal Arthur Himbry
On September 27th, two days after the death of Casey Becker, Principal Himbry suspended classes for the day. While Himbry had been struggling to control the student body and cracking down on pranks involving the "Ghostface" mask, Ghostface's attack on student Sidney Prescott was the final straw. Himbry was found in his office, having been stabbed four times in the chest and stomach.

On September 27th, after the early dismissal of school, Woodsboro high school student Stuart "Stu" Macher hosted a party at his home. Present at this party were students Sidney Prescott, Tatum Riley, Randy Meeks, William "Billy" Loomis, reporter Gale Weathers, cameraman Kenny Brown, and deputy police officer Dewey Riley. Following the news of Principal Himbry's death and with the impending town curfew, most partygoers left the party. Partygoers reported that Tatum, Macher's girlfriend, had disappeared earlier in the night. Her body was later discovered in the garage door. In the morning, the bodies of Tatum, Kenny, Billy, and Stu were found.

WHAT WAS GHOSTFACE'S MOTIVE?
In the early hours of September 28th, police arrived at the crime scene at Stu Macher's house. Four people were pronounced dead. Tatum Riley was found in the garage door, Kenny Brown was found outside the house, while Billy Loomis and Stu Macher were discovered in the house. The latter two were named as "Ghostface" by the survivors. Survivors Randy Meeks, Dewey Riley, Gale Weathers, and Sidney Prescott sustained a variety of injuries. Gale Weathers, having broken the story in an impromptu on-air report at the crime scene, is now writing a book on the events.

Who killed Tatum and Kenny?
Tatum's body was found in the garage, crushed in the door when Billy as Ghostface raised it. Stu as Ghostface killed Kenny, surprising him in the camera van and slitting his throat.
Who killed Stu and Billy?
After faking his death earlier in the night, Billy and Stu revealed their identity and plan to Sidney Prescott. In the scuffle following, Stu died by electrocution when Sidney dropped a TV on his head. Billy is shot twice, first by Gale and then by Sidney, who officially kills Billy Loomis.
