Neo-colonialism
Artificial states
What are they?
- Independent countries that are in some way again in the place of their conquerors, because the country was in really pour or bad conditions, forcing them to stay with the big countries
Colonization and modern independent countries
Modern independet countries are affected by colonization due to the struggles the colonizators left, and becuase of this, the new independet countries need to face different national and international challenges, so they can overcome the power relationship that they had before. Also, they affected their cultural growth and the economy of the country.
Neo colonealism
According to Abbott (2016), “the force of neo-colonization is strengthened by free-trade agreements and development plans that guarantee a company’s right to investment above the rights of the citizenry. Meanwhile, the indigenous populations face renewed dispossession and eviction to make way for global capital’s conquest (p. 41)
"Neo-colonialism refers to the involvement of more powerful states in the domestic affairs of less powerful ones", but it is just another way of colonization
Mexico
Mexico
In Mexico, colonization is affected because most of our resorces go out of the country, to USA mainly. But, when we are talking about culture, most of our traditions, are just as Spain traditions, this because, the cultural growth of the native Mexicans, were cutt off, becuase spanish people killed a lot of our people.
