CRA LOS ALMENDROS

Located in the heart of Spain, the Grouped Rural Primary School "Los Almendros" is distributed among three nearby towns, namely, La Lastrilla, Bernuy and Zamarramala; being the former the principal centre. 10 minutes away from our school you can find Segovia, which is the capital of our province.

STUDENTS AND FAMILIES

We have got a total of 526 students, divided into the 3 locations; La Lastrilla, Bernuy and Zamarramala. Most of our students come from La Lastrilla and nearby places. Since the Ukrainian conflict started, our school has become the main receiver of our province, with up to 25 pupils of all ages in 2023. Besides, diversity is constantly increasing every year with families from different countries (mainly Morocco and Latin America). the socioeconomic background of our families is middle-high, generally part of the service industry.

OUR CITY SEGOVIA

SEGOVIA

Segovia is the capital of our province, Its Historic centre and roman acueduct were were included in the UNESCO World Heritage on 1985. Segovia is an ashtonishing city with a very rich cultural and historical background. Apart from the already mentioned Aqueduct and the Historic Centre you can find the Cathedral, the Alcazar (a royal palace) and many churches. if you are still eager for more history, you will be at home with plenty of medieval towns and castles like Turegano, Pedraza, Cuellar and Coca. But we cannot forget about other villages like La Granja into the Guadarrama mountains Natural Park. Last but not least, we should not forget to mencion the local gastronomy. the most iconic dish is "cochinillo" (roasted pork) and "el ponche" that is a typical dessert.

INCLUSION AS A RESPONSE TO OUR STUDENTS´ DIVERSITY TROUGHT INNOVATIVE METHODOLOGIES AND THE USE OF TECHNOLOGIES

OBJETIVES

To enhance the use of active and innovative methodologies enhancing inclussion and boosting motivation in teachers and students around our learning path.

To promote the use of a foreing language as the main comunication path, developing the communicative skills of all teachers.

To improve the internationalisation of our school by creating a contacts network so as to support our students and teachers in the long term to develop their competencies.

To integrate the use of information and communication technologies in our school in a responsible and inclusive way, updating our expertise to our new students realities.
