Using Modules in a Course A module is an organizational unit in your Moodle course where you can place components that are related to one another by topic, learning objective, or timing.

Components of a Module Typically, a module contains the amount of material that would be covered in a week. This can include:

  • Introduction: Topic and Learning Objectives covered in the module
  • Learning Materials: Video content, web resources, reading material, etc.
  • Learning Activities: Interactive materials, practice, discussion forums, etc Assessments: Assignments, quizzes, and self-reflection
