Since 2019, companies with more than 250 employees, are required to calculate and publish each year their Professional Equality Index. This index is mainly focused on equal pay.
The Index, based on 100 points is calculated using 5 indicators
These indicators measure the difference in pay between men and women for the same job and skills.
The percentage of employees who received a pay rise in the year following their return from maternity leave.
The pay gap for equivalent age groups and positions.
The number of women among the top ten earners.
The gap in promotion rates between men and women.
The difference in the rate of individual increases.

The index generates obligations for the company... and penalties
AN OBLIGATION TO ACT
AND PENALTIES
In the event of non-publication of its index, failure to implement corrective measures or the ineffectiveness of such measures, the company is liable to a financial penalty of up to 1% of its turnover.
If the Index is less than 75 points out of 100, the company must implement corrective measures within 3 years.
