The 2006 regulations mandated schools to incorporate research-based interventions in the process of assisting students with learning difficulties and determining eligibility for special education. By adopting evidence-based practices, schools can provide targeted support, promote data-driven decision making, and ultimately improve the educational outcomes of students facing learning challenges. These regulations also addressed additional requirements introduced in the 2004 reauthorization, further enhancing the educational landscape for students with learning disabilities.
