First year report

Kador eyewear factory

my FIRST EXPERIENCE

My first internship took place at Kador Eyewear factory in Calalzo di Cadore from the 8th to the 13th of March 2021.The company is managed by Mattia Sopracolle. It was founded in 1962 and it deals with the design, manufacture and sale of eyewear to opticians from all over the World. Kador eyewear factory's peculiarity is that all glasses are entirely handmade.

During the internship they showed me all the steps of the glasses market: starting from drafts, sketches and final projects created by Enzo Sopracolle to the production, assemblation and shipping of the product. I have also learnt the importance of the design in the advertising campaing.

During that time I did many different mansions: I assembled, cleaned and packed the glasses, then I prepared the boxes that would have been sent to opticians and I helped the employees and workers.

WHAT I have learnt

This experience taught me how to cooperate with other workers in the same work space and also to ask them help in case of need. I have learnt how many steps there are from the process to the sales of glasses and the great importance of social media and posters in the advertising campaign of the company.

SECOND YEAR REPORT

Falegnameria Ghezze

MY SECOND EXPERIENCE

For my second school-work experience I worked from the 28th of March to the 5th of April 2022 at Falegnameria Ghezze.It is a carpentry workshop located in Pian da Lago, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and it is managed by Stefano Ghezze.This carpentry realizes interior and exterior furniture, expecially in rustic style and using old wood.

During he internship my classmate and I mostly helped the workers who were undertaken to build a lot of wooden doors.We used the shellac and other products to finish the doors, then we learned how to use the pantograph and did some works on wooden tablets.

WHAT I have learnt

During the second experience I have learnt the effort of doing an hard work for eight hours a day, but I have also learnt some new skills in the wood work and had a look on how many incredible things can be done with the wood.
