Caesar
  • Caesar was an emeror that ruled rome from46B.C to 44B.C
  • 55B.C Caesar conquered Gaul however didn't intend in doing so, he was aiming for Romania due to it being rich in metals.
  • He destroyed the enemy's bridge at Geneva to stop advancements and brought his troops to attack
  • 49B.C he crossed the rubicon with his army, this caused a civil war which then ended the roman republic which later caused him to become dictator.
  • A year later he defeats his rival pompey in a battle with less than half the amount of men. This later proved Caesar as a perfect leader.
  • 44B.C Caesar is assasinated

  • 27B.C After the battle where he showed great leadership he became emperor and was the first to become emperor following the republic
  • 16B.C-A.D 9 Augustus started a campaign to expand the territory towards Germany

  • 42B.C the battle of philippi which consisted of the army of Mark Antony fighting against Octavius's army.

Augustus influenced many things regarding the political actions in Rome he did this by:

  • Appealing to the citizens telling them he had a modest life .
  • He recognized the roman life throughout the country which didnt happen much with past emperors.
  • He preached stability in culture and renewed religious practices.
  • He put in place taxes and with the money that he collected he upgraded the roads

Augustus influenced many things one of which: Architecture. While he ruled agustus brought forth the classical style which was influenced by Greeks. He also brought forth the usage of marble and concrete when it comes to buldings and sculptures.
